Magnet Stripes vs "Smart Cards" - Time to upgrade our Technology
CITIBANK
sent me a text alert about fraud on my credit card. Sure enough someone
in India tried to process a $45.32 payment. It is the SECOND time this
has happened in the past 2-3 weeks. EUROPE uses a "Smart Card" that is
superior to our easily scammed magnetic strips. Apparently Citibank is
starting to SLOWLY get "Smart" cards issues....
Be on alert!
They think it could be a device that someone put in a gas station I use
regularly. It's small enough that the operator wouldn't notice
it....restaurants are another source.
Come on America, it is time to UPGRADE OUR TECHNOLOGY...
